a. It has always been the policy of the Firm to exercise the utmost discretion regarding the information our clients entrust to Us. a. We maintain reasonable and appropriate (but not infallible) physical, electronic and procedural safeguards intended to maintain the confidentiality of and protect and secure from accidental loss and/or unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure of your Personal Information, including that provided by a visitor or user of our Website and provided while using our other Platforms. 11. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice/our Website operates no differently if these DNT signals are enabled or disabled. Our Platforms do not allow any third parties to collect Personal Information about your online activities over time or across websites for their own purposes.
12. Your Privacy Choices.
a. You can control the information We collect and use in the following ways: i. Location Information. You can disable location-based services on your mobile device or web browser by adjusting the settings on your device or browser. This will prevent our Website from accessing your location information.
ii. Emails. You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that We send or by contacting Us using the details provided below. Additional Notice for California Residents
This Privacy Notice for California Residents (this “Notice”) supplements the information contained in the privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) of Jeffrey M. Verdon Law Group, LLC (the “Company”, “We” or “Us”) , and applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“Consumers” or “You”). We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2023 (“CPRA”) and any capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to same in the CCPA and CPRA.
This Notice does not apply to workforce-related personal information collected from California-based employees, job applicants, contractors, or similar individuals.
Where noted in this Notice, the CCPA temporarily exempts personal information reflecting a written or verbal business-to-business communication (“B2B Personal Information”) from some its requirements.
The CCPA permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from Us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) We disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which We shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. 1. Definition of “Resident”.
a. The California Code of Regulations defines a “Resident” as:

(B) Disclosures for a business purpose. Identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained. We do not provide these access and data portability rights for B2B Personal Information.
b. Deletion Request Rights. You have the right to request that We delete any of your personal information that We collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once We receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request (see Section 4 of this Notice), We will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for Us or our service provider(s) to:
(i) Complete the transaction for which We collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, or otherwise perform our contract with you;
(ii) Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities;
(iii) Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
(iv) Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law;
(v) Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 seq.);
(vi) Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information’s deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research’s achievement if you previously provided informed consent;
(vii) Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with Us;
(viii) Comply with a legal obligation; and
(ix) Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
4. Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights.
a. To exercise the access, data portability, and deletion rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to Us by either:

b. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child. You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access or data portability twice within a twelve (12) month period.
c. The verifiable consumer request must:
(i) Provide sufficient information that allows Us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom We collected personal information or an authorized representative.
(ii) Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows Us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if We cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. You do not need to create an account with Us to submit a request to know or delete. However, We do consider requests made through your password protected account sufficiently verified when the request relates to personal information associated with that specific account. We will only use personal information provided in the request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make it. If, however, We cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by Us, We may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity, and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. We will delete such additionally provided information as soon as We finish verifying you. For instructions on exercising your sale opt-out or opt-in rights, see Section 4(e) of this Notice.
d. Response Timing and Format. We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If We require more time (up to ninety (90) days), We will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with Us, We will deliver our written response to that account. If you do not have an account with Us, We will deliver our written response by mail or electronically, at your option. Any disclosures We provide will only cover the twelve (12) month period preceding the verifiable consumer request’s receipt. The response We provide will also explain the reasons We cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, We will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance. We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If We determine that the request warrants a fee, We will tell you why We made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
e. Personal Information Sales Opt-Out and Opt-In Rights. If you are sixteen (16) years of age or older, you have the right to direct Us not to sell your personal information at any time (the “Right to Opt-Out”). We do not sell the personal information of consumers We actually know are less than sixteen (16) years of age, unless We receive affirmative authorization (the “Right to Opt-In”) from either the consumer who is at least thirteen (13) but not yet sixteen (16) years of age, or the parent or guardian of a consumer less than thirteen (13) years of age. Consumers who opt-in to personal information sales may opt-out of future sales at any time. To exercise the Right to Opt-Out, you (or your authorized representative) may submit a request to Us by emailing us at info@verdonlawgroup.com6. Once you make an opt-out request, We will wait at least twelve (12) months before asking you to reauthorize personal information sales. However, you may change your mind and opt back into personal information sales at any time by amending your preferences in an email to us at info@verdonlawgroup.com 7. You do not need to create an account with Us to exercise your Right to Opt-Out or Right to Opt-In. We will only use personal information provided in an opt-out request to review and comply with the request.
f. In accordance with applicable law, We are not obligated to provide or delete consumer information that is de-identified in response to a consumer request or to re-identify individual data to verify a consumer request.
5. Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer’s Privacy Rights.
a. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, We will not:
(i) Deny you goods or services;
(ii) Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties;
(iii) Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services;
(iv) Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of services.
b. However, We may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the CCPA that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels. Any CCPA-permitted financial incentive We offer will reasonably relate to your personal information’s value and contain written terms that describe the program’s material aspects. Participation in a financial incentive program requires your prior opt-in consent, which you may revoke at any time.
